Overview
Chegg, a leading higher-education study tool with millions of subscribers, provides resources like homework help, exam preparation, and writing tools. With the rise of generative AI in 2023, Chegg revamped its core Q&A product to leverage AI for enhanced solution generation and personalized study help.
One key challenge in the AI-powered conversational learning experience was the low engagement in asking follow-up questions. As the sole UX designer for this project, I introduced a new feature that successfully encouraged students to ask follow-ups, resulting in measurable improvements in engagement.
